Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace — Biography

Born December 28, 1978, in London, Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace is a British figure known for her work as a glamour model, fashion designer, magazine columnist, actress, and television and media personality. Her entry into public awareness came in 2006 when she secured third place in the seventh season of the reality competition Big Brother. Her parents are Sophia Horgan, a fashion designer, and Steve Wallace, a car dealer; they parted ways when she was three. Raised by her mother in North London, Aisleyne frequently changed schools due to difficulties with peers. By age sixteen, she had left her mother's home, staying with friends before moving into a women's hostel. Her father reconnected with her at eighteen after locating her. Reports indicate she received a grant from the Prince's Trust for a beauty therapy course and previously held positions in shoe retail and as a promotions worker. Her official biography notes her studies at the London College of Fashion, supported by part-time promotional work.

Aisleyne's prominence in the United Kingdom grew significantly following her participation in the 2006 Big Brother series. Entering the house on day twelve, she became noted for her conflicts with fellow contestants Nikki Grahame and Grace Adams-Short, as well as for being placed in "the house next door" by public vote, where she had to select new housemates from a group of five. She reached the final on day ninety-three, finishing third with 22% of the public vote, and was the highest-ranking female contestant of that series. Her popularity reportedly surprised the show's producers, with tabloids suggesting attempts to control the finalists' outcome. In August 2010, she declined an offer to participate in Ultimate Big Brother to film her role as 'Maria' in the British urban comedy Anuvahood.

Before her Big Brother appearance, Aisleyne worked as a glamour model. Post-series, she has featured in photoshoots for publications like Nuts, Zoo, and the Daily Star, and released a calendar in 2007. From 2007, she made appearances on Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe and presented for shows including T4. She also participated in BBC One's Test The Nation alongside other Big Brother alumni and had a brief role on The Charlotte Church Show. Her television work includes several episodes of the Red TV series Celebrity: Stars at Work in late 2007 and early 2008, followed by a one-season contract with Red TV for a self-titled documentary, Aisleyne, which aired starting March 5, 2008. In June 2008, she appeared on a special edition of The Friday Night Project, featuring a sketch about her rivalry with Nikki Grahame. She also made a cameo in The Kevin Bishop
