Emerging from a background as a race queen and a former gravure idol, Akane Soma has transitioned into her current roles as an actress and television personality. Her career in Japan spanned from the late 1990s through the 2000s, during which she was recognized as a prominent figure associated with both a specific network and its broader public image. In 2009, Soma shifted her professional focus to Taiwan, and in 2014, she became wife to Nicky Lee, a Korean American singer who also plies his trade in Taiwan.
