About Akshara Singh
Akshara Singh is a prominent figure in Bhojpuri cinema, recognized for her work in films and honored with multiple accolades. Her performances have graced notable movies such as the action-packed Tabadala, the political narrative Sarkar Raj, and the romantic action flick Satya. She stands among the most sought-after actresses in the Bhojpuri film industry.
Her acting journey began in 2010 with the action drama Satyamev Jayate, starring opposite Ravi Kishan. This was followed by her appearance in the 2011 family drama Pran Jaye Par Vachan Na Jaye. Singh also featured in the 2016 romantic drama A Balma Bihar Wala alongside Khesari Lal Yadav. In 2017, she starred in the action dramas Satya and Tabadla, as well as Maa Tujhe Salaam, sharing the screen with Pawan Singh.
Transitioning to Hindi television, Singh made her debut in 2015 with appearances on Zee TV's Kaala Teeka and Service Wali Bahu. She later took on the role of Gandhari in the historical epic Suryaputra Karn and portrayed Kadika in the historical series Porus on Sony TV.
Controversies have also been a part of her public narrative. In April 2023, a purported MMS clip of Akshara Singh circulated online, showing her in an intimate setting with a male companion. In response, Singh dismissed the reports as baseless, asserting that a particular group within the industry had been targeting her reputation since 2018. She expressed her frustration, noting a shift from concern about legal repercussions to people exploiting silence, and declared that such actions were no longer tolerable. She also indicated a pressure to conform to the circumstances of another industry figure, Akanksha Dubey. Reports suggest a similar leaked video incident involving her in 2018.
In May 2020, Akshara Singh lodged a First Information Report (FIR) at the Sarnath police station in Uttar Pradesh against Bhojpuri actor and singer Ritesh Pandey. She accused him of inappropriate behavior, assault, and issuing death threats during the filming of a song.
Following her separation from Pawan Singh after his second marriage, Akshara Singh filed a police complaint against him. She alleged that Pawan Singh intended to sabotage her career and had pressured her to continue their relationship even after his remarriage. According to her complaint, upon her refusal, he physically assaulted her and, while under the influence of alcohol, issued death threats.
