Alex Grey grew up in Fort Benning, Georgia and Kansas before relocating to Hillsborough, North Carolina and eventually settling in California. She carries Russian and Spanish ancestry. Throughout her career, she has appeared on 201 magazine covers, starred in 62 photosets, and filmed 139 videos.

Grey entered the adult entertainment field as a webcam performer at age nineteen.
