About Alicia Silverstone

Alicia Silverstone entered the film industry with her role in the 1993 thriller The Crush, which led her to win the MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance in 1994. She quickly became a popular teen idol after appearing in Aerosmith's "Cryin'" music video. Silverstone rose to further fame when she took on the character of Cher Horowitz in the iconic teen comedy Clueless, released in 1995, securing a lucrative deal with Columbia Pictures as a result. In 1997, she appeared in the major superhero film Batman & Robin, portraying Batgirl. Her performance in the 2003 NBC series Miss Match earned her a nomination for a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy, despite the show being short-lived. Throughout her career, Silverstone has remained active in film, television, and theater. A committed vegan, she has been a vocal supporter of PETA and authored two cookbooks: The Kind Diet in 2009 and The Kind Mama in 2014.
