About Alina Anghel
Alina Anghel is a Canadian talent working across acting, writing, and producing. Her versatile acting abilities have found expression in a diverse range of projects, from independent cinema and commercial work to productions within the Bollywood industry. Though born in Europe, Alina's life has been shaped by extensive global experience and travel, equipping her with fluency in four languages. Her passion for performance ignited in eighth grade when she chose drama as an elective, a choice that proved to be a lasting commitment. By the age of sixteen, she was performing as a principal in a collaboratively written production with the Vancouver Youth Theatre, touring the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. Her formal acting training includes studies at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York City, as well as further development at Rogue's West Studio, JBA Studios, and under the tutelage of Mel Tuck. Audiences recognize Alina for her portrayal of Alice in the acclaimed 2017 film Reverie. She also penned the script and took on the leading role of Jay in the 2016 film Busy, which was featured at The Vancouver Asian Film Festival. Her other acting contributions can be seen in Joe Personman (2017), The Medium (2016), Beyond the Old Road (2017), Channo Kamli Yaar Di (2016), and Persona Non Grata (2017). Beyond film and television, Alina has appeared in commercials for brands such as White Spot and Taste & Circle, and was featured in a North American television advertisement for Nature Valley, produced by the international advertising firm McCann. She has also taken the lead in music videos, including Boy If You Don't Stop (2018), directed by Nathan Penner, and Say Something (2016), under the direction of Mike Southworth.
