Raised in a conservative Mormon family near Salt Lake City, Utah, Cole showcased her musical talent early on as a piano prodigy. She attended the University of Utah and later met her second husband, Dyson Salleh, in the late 1990s, eventually relocating to Southern California where she took on the roles of mother and piano instructor.
