About Angela Melillo

Angela Melillo's journey through the entertainment landscape began with her graceful movements as a dancer. However, her inherent spark and drive quickly indicated a broader talent and an ambition to shine. During the 1991-1992 season, she graced the stage as a showgirl on "Il TG delle vacanze," sharing the spotlight with Gabriella Labate. She also contributed her talents to various productions with the Bagaglino company, initially as a dancer in "Creme caramel e Rose rosse" and later ascending to leading roles in "Tutte pazze per Silvio," "Al Bagaglino," "Marameo," and "Mi consenta."

In 1992, Melillo transitioned to hosting, joining Teo Teocoli and Gene Gnocchi for the inaugural season of "Scherzi a parte" on Italia 1. Her television presence continued to grow, and from 1999 to 2001, she co-hosted "Alle due" on Rai Uno with Paolo Limiti. Beyond her hosting duties, Melillo also ventured into acting in television series. Between 2000 and 2005, she appeared in several Mediaset and Rai productions, including "La casa delle beffe," "Love Bugs," "La palestra," and "Il maresciallo Rocca."

In 2004, Melillo demonstrated her resilience and strategic thinking as a contestant on the Rai 2 reality competition "The Mole," ultimately emerging as the winner after navigating demanding physical and mental challenges. That same year, she became a regular fixture on "Domenica in" for the 2004-2005 season. Her acting career progressed in 2006 when she took on the role of Tiziana Palme in the Rai 1 soap opera "Sottocasa." The following year, she portrayed Princess Luisa di Carignano in the TV miniseries "La figlia di Elisa - Ritorno a Rivombrosa," under the direction of Stefano Alleva.

On October 11, 2010, Melillo stepped in to co-host Rai Due's "TV mania" alongside Simone Annicchiarico, replacing Luana Ravegnini. Unfortunately, the program concluded after only two episodes due to low viewership. In October 2016, she starred in the stage comedy "Una fidanzata per papà," sharing the billing with Sandra Milo, Savino Zaba, and Stefano Antonucci.
