About Anna Jay
Anna Jay is an American professional wrestler known for her time in the independent circuit and All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Her wrestling journey began at the One Fall Power Factory in July 2018. During her training in April 2019, she sustained a shoulder injury that necessitated surgery, sidelining her for a period of 4 to 6 months. Jay made her debut on September 14, 2019, at a charity event called "The Battle of Altama," hosted by Glacier. By January 2020, she had secured a victory over Thunder Blonde in a hair vs. hair match at a Georgia Premier Wrestling event.
On April 1, 2020, Jay appeared in AEW for the first time, where she faced Hikaru Shida in a singles match on Dynamite, ultimately coming up short. It was announced that she had signed with AEW later that month. Following a loss to Abadon on the June 17 episode of Dynamite, she received assistance backstage from the faction known as The Dark Order. She teamed up with Tay Conti in the AEW Women's Tag Team Cup Tournament: The Deadly Draw, where they advanced past Nyla Rose and Ariane Andrew in the quarterfinals but lost to Ivelisse Velez and Diamante in the semifinals. Jay was officially welcomed into The Dark Order on the August 27 episode of Dynamite.
On November 25, 2020, she challenged Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women's World Championship but did not succeed. A significant moment came on December 30 when she and Tay Conti triumphed over Britt Baker and Penelope Ford during a special episode of Dynamite honoring the late Brodie Lee, the former leader of The Dark Order. In February 2021, Anna was set to participate in the AEW Women's World Championship Eliminator Tournament but had to withdraw due to a shoulder injury sustained during training. She underwent surgery in March and was expected to be on the sidelines for 6 to 12 months.
Jay made her return on the September 1 episode of Dynamite, coming to Conti's aid against an attack from Ford and The Bunny. That November, she participated in the TBS Women's Championship Tournament but was eliminated in the first round by Jamie Hayter. After several months of rivalry, Jay and Conti emerged victorious in a street fight against Ford and The Bunny on December 31 during Rampage. She subsequently challenged Jade Cargill for the AEW TBS Championship in the main event on January 21, 2022, but was unsuccessful. Jay faced Cargill again at Double or Nothing on May 29, again coming up short.
On July 20, during Night 2 of Fyter Fest, Jay shifted her character by attacking Ruby Soho, realigning with Conti and joining the Jericho Appreciation Society. Following this change, she defeated Soho in a match on Rampage, using Soho's arm brace
