Anna Torv — Biography
Anna Torv, born on June 7, 1979, is an Australian performer who has made a significant mark in acting. Her most recognized work came as FBI agent Olivia Dunham in the acclaimed Fox science fiction program Fringe, which aired from 2008 to 2013. This pivotal role earned her a nomination for the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series and garnered her four Saturn Awards for Best Actress on Television. More recently, Torv took on the part of Dr. Wendy Carr in the Netflix crime thriller series Mindhunter, a role she has held since 2017.
In December 2008, Torv's personal life saw a union with American actor Mark Valley, her co-star on Fringe. However, by April 2010, reports indicated their separation had occurred some months prior. Torv resided in Los Angeles for more than ten years, a period that concluded just after the initial emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020. While living in Los Angeles, she became a mother and purchased a residence. She subsequently sold her property and relocated back to Australia's Gold Coast in early 2020. After staying with her mother, she moved to Melbourne to participate in the filming of The Newsreader.
