About Annabella Sciorra

Born Annabella Gloria Philomena Sciorra on March 29, 1960, this American actress first captured attention with her movie debut in True Love, a role that earned her an Independent Spirit nomination for Best Female Lead. Her career since has spanned a diverse range of cinematic endeavors, from popular blockbusters to independent productions, showcasing her versatility across genres like drama, comedy, action, and thrillers. Some of her notable film work includes Cadillac Man, Internal Affairs, Reversal of Fortune, all from 1990, followed by The Hard Way and Jungle Fever in 1991. She continued to deliver memorable performances in The Hand That Rocks the Cradle and Whispers in the Dark in 1992, and then Romeo Is Bleeding, Mr. Wonderful, and The Night We Never Met in 1993. Further credits include The Cure (1995), Cop Land and Mr. Jealousy (both 1997), What Dreams May Come (1998), Chasing Liberty (2004), and Find Me Guilty (2006). Her portrayal of Gloria Trillo on The Sopranos, which aired from 2001 to 2004, garnered her a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series. On stage, Sciorra received a Theatre World Award for her performance in The Motherfucker with the Hat on Broadway in 2011.
