Apollonia Kotero — Biography

Born Patricia Kotero on August 2, 1959, in Santa Monica, California, Apollonia Kotero carved out a career as an American swimsuit model, actress, and singer. Of Spanish and Italian heritage, she entered Prince's orbit following the departure of Vanity. Kotero then stepped into the spotlight as the leading lady in the 1984 film Purple Rain and simultaneously took the helm as the lead vocalist for the recording ensemble Apollonia 6.
