Barbara Borges, a Brazilian talent, embarked on her entertainment journey in 1995 as a "paquita," a dancer for the popular Xuxa program. Her transition to acting began in 2001 with her debut in the Globo soap opera Porto dos milagres, portraying the character Luísa. The following year, she took on the role of the antagonist Thaíssa in the highly successful Malação 2002. In 2004, Borges portrayed Jennifer, a lesbian character, in the acclaimed Senhora do Destino. Her television work continued in 2007 when she played Clarissa, a young woman with dyslexia, in Duas Caras. She also made appearances in other notable productions like Pé na Jaca, A Diarista, and Carga Pesada. In 2009, Borges signed with Record, where she embodied Elvira in the telenovela Bela a Feia. She continued her work with Record, taking on the role of Diva in the 2012 soap opera Balacobaco. Her career with the network saw her play Polentina in Belaventura in 2017 and the villainous Livona in the 2018 soap opera Jesus. That same year, she showcased her competitive spirit on Dancing Brasil, ultimately securing third place. Borges further demonstrated her public appeal in 2022 by participating in the reality competition A Fazenda, where she emerged victorious with an impressive 61.14% of the audience's votes. Her striking presence was also featured on the cover of Brazilian Playboy on two occasions, in February 2005 and again in September 2009. Barbara Borges is widely recognized for her roles in Bela, a Feia (2009), Duas Caras (2007), and Senhora do Destino (2004).
