Belladonna, whose real name is Michelle Anne Sinclair, was born on May 21, 1981, in Biloxi, Mississippi. She was raised in a large Mormon family as one of seven siblings and has a diverse heritage that includes German, Cherokee, and Scottish roots. Her upbringing took her across various locations, including Utah, Virginia, and Germany, before she settled in Salt Lake City at the age of 15. Here, she thrived as a cheerleader, gymnast, and concert choir member at Highland High School. At 18, she began her career as a stripper in local clubs and entered the adult film industry in 2000 after an encounter with a fellow porn star in Los Angeles. Utilizing stage names such as Bella and Belladonna—Italian for "beautiful woman"—she made her debut in Real Sex Magazine 31 and ultimately appeared in more than 400 adult films, collaborating with notable studios like Evil Angel, Vivid, and Digital Sin.

Some of her significant works include The Fashionistas (2002), the Fetish Fanatic series (2004–2012), and Belladonna: No Warning (2005).
