Bellamy Young gained widespread recognition for her commanding portrayal of President Melody "Mellie" Grant in the acclaimed ABC political drama Scandal, a role that earned her a Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. Her extensive television and film career includes appearances in a diverse range of projects such as the daytime drama Another World, the independent film Black and White, and the popular sitcom The Drew Carey Show.
