Bianca Castillo Peters, an American journalist and news anchor who has earned an Emmy, now helms "The Noon" and "The 6 O'Clock News" for FOX 5 New York, known as WNYW. Born on November 17, 1989, she traces her roots to Mexican-American heritage and possesses a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from California State University, Long Beach. Her career in broadcasting commenced in Long Beach, California, where she served as a sports anchor and reporter for College Beat Productions. Following this, she contributed to JUCE TV as a host and segment producer. Her path then led her to Medford, Oregon, where she worked as a news anchor and reporter for KOBI-TV, and subsequently to Miami, Florida, as a traffic anchor and sports reporter at WFOR-TV. Peters became part of the FOX 5 team in September 2019. Initially, she co-hosted early morning broadcasts and then segued to weekday morning programs such as Good Day Wakeup and Good Day New York, before assuming her present responsibilities during afternoon and evening hours. Beyond her journalistic endeavors, Peters holds certification as a sommelier, actively champions foster care causes, and engages with her audience on social media, where she shares her enthusiasm for travel, fashion, humor, and wine.
