Breanna Ruggiero — Biography
Breanna Ruggiero is an American athlete who competes in professional wrestling. Her tenure with WWE, where she was known as Brinley Reece, brought her significant recognition. During SummerSlam weekend on July 29, 2022, Ruggiero was among fourteen individuals who participated in a WWE tryout in Nashville, Tennessee. It was during this event that Paul "Triple H" Levesque extended contracts to her and eight other women. By November 2022, her inclusion in the Fall 2022 Rookie Class was official, and she began training at the WWE Performance Center.
Ruggiero made her debut on televised NXT on October 17, 2023, under the name Brinley Reece. She stepped in as a substitute for Jakara Jackson in the inaugural Women's NXT Breakout Tournament, a decision made after Jackson was medically cleared to compete. Reece faced Arianna Grace in this first-round match, ultimately falling short after Grace employed an eye rake and a twisting slam. Later, on the January 16, 2024, episode of NXT, Reece participated in a 20-woman battle royal. The prize was a shot at a number one contender's match for the NXT Women's Championship held by Lyra Valkyria at NXT Vengeance Day. However, Roxanne Perez emerged victorious from the contest, leaving Reece without the opportunity.
The August 20 edition of NXT saw Reece competing in a six-woman gauntlet match. This bout was organized to determine the next challenger for Perez's NXT Women's Championship at NXT No Mercy.
