About Bree Williamson
Hailing from Canada, Bree Williamson continues to actively engage in her acting career, with her current professional pursuits encompassing film, stage performances, and photo shoots.
Her academic journey saw her graduate from Bayview Glen School before continuing her studies at the University of Toronto. Williamson became a familiar face on ABC's soap opera One Life to Live, taking on the role of Jessica Buchanan from February 2003 until the show's conclusion in 2012. This role provided her with the opportunity to explore Jessica's multifaceted personality, portraying her alternate identities, "Tess," from 2005 to 2006 and again intermittently in 2008 and 2011. Interestingly, Williamson had previously auditioned for a different role on One Life to Live, Jen Rappaport, but was not cast due to her striking resemblance to Erin Torpey, who was then playing Jessica Buchanan. Upon Torpey's departure in January 2003, the casting department recalled Williamson and offered her the part of Jessica. Her likeness to Torpey was so pronounced that many viewers remained unaware of the casting change. Her performance as Jessica earned Williamson three Daytime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2009, 2010, and 2011.
Beyond her extensive work on One Life to Live, Williamson made guest appearances on the CW series Gossip Girl. She portrayed Brandeis in the 2009 episode "The Grandfather: Part II" and reprised the role in "The Empire Strikes Jack" in 2010. In 2012, she joined the cast of the Syfy series Haven as Dr. Claire Callahan, beginning in the third season. Her television work continued with a role in flashbacks as Vivian Bowers, the murder victim in the 2013 NBC series Deception. In 2015, she starred as April Littleton, a photographer returning to her hometown, in the Hallmark Channel film Portrait of Love, which premiered in March. On May 26, 2016, it was announced that Williamson would be originating the role of Claudette Beaulieu on ABC's General Hospital, with her first appearance scheduled for July 5, 2016.
On a personal note, Williamson married Josh Evans on December 29, 2005. By June 2007, the couple had separated, a fact she revealed in the July 3, 2007 edition of Soap Opera Digest, and they later divorced. In the September 2006 issue of ABC Soaps in Depth, Williamson shared the news of receiving her green card, expressing her delight that she could no longer be asked to leave the country. In 2006, she co-hosted the Planned Parenthood Awards, an event that recognizes
