About Brianna Brown

Brianna Brown, a talent from American cinema and television, has also ventured into producing. Her notable small-screen performances include the role of Lisa Niles on ABC's General Hospital, Taylor Stappord in Lifetime's Devious Maids, and Claudia Blaisdel in The CW's reimagining of Dynasty. Born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Brown spent her formative years in the Apple Valley area, a suburb of the Twin Cities. She pursued her education briefly at St. Olaf College before relocating to Los Angeles at the age of 19. In May of 2017, she exchanged vows with filmmaker Richie Keen in a ceremony near Santa Barbara. The couple welcomed their first child, a son, in July 2018, a pregnancy that was publicly announced in March of the same year.

Brown's acting journey began with an appearance on the NBC series Freaks and Geeks in 1999, and she subsequently built a diverse resume in film and television. Her television guest spots span a range of popular shows, including CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Smallville, Entourage, Without a Trace, The Closer, Joey, and Criminal Minds. She has taken the leading roles in the horror films Night of the Living Dead 3D (2006) and Timber Falls (2007). Additionally, Brown featured in the horror movie The Lost Tribe and appeared in Judd Apatow's acclaimed comedies The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up. From 2010 to 2011, she was a fixture on ABC's General Hospital as Lisa Niles. In 2011, she joined the Showtime thriller series Homeland, portraying Lynne Reed. The following year, Brown secured a regular role in the initial season of the prime-time comedy-drama Devious Maids as Taylor Stappord, eventually reprising the character in the show's third season after her initial departure. In 2014, she was cast in a main role for ABC's drama pilot The Whispers, starring alongside Lily Rabe and Milo Ventimiglia. However, on June 11, 2014, it was confirmed that Brown had departed the project and her role would be recast. Her career continued with appearances on Revenge, The Mentalist, Graceland, and NCIS: New Orleans. In 2017, Brown took on the character of Claudia Blaisdel in The CW's Dynasty, a modern adaptation of the classic 1980s series.
