Brigitte Maier — Biography

Brigitte Maier emerged as a prominent figure within the adult entertainment landscape of the 1970s. Her professional journey commenced in 1967 and extended throughout that decade. Collaborating with the European filmmaker Lasse Braun, Maier significantly challenged the boundaries of explicit content, both in her on-screen performances and her pictorial work for numerous men's publications, a period marked by evolving anti-pornography legislation.

Originally from Europe, Maier's family relocated to Chicago when she was four years old. Within their conservative, middle-class environment, she attended an all-girls Catholic institution. However, Maier harbored a strong desire to escape what she perceived as a "mundane middle-class lifestyle." Her introduction to the film industry occurred at the age of fifteen with her debut appearance in the movie "The Margin."
