She held the top spot through the end of 2010 and 2011. Wozniacki etched her name in history in 2018 as the first Dane to secure a major singles title, triumphing at the Australian Open. Renowned for her exceptional footwork and tenacious defensive play, she amassed 30 WTA Tour singles titles, including six in both 2010 and 2011, a feat unmatched by any other WTA player between 2008 and 2011. She also collected two doubles titles. Her junior career was equally impressive, marked by a Wimbledon girls' singles championship in 2006 and the WTA Newcomer of the Year award in 2008. The family relocated to Denmark when Piotr joined the Danish football club B1909. Her older brother, Patrik Wozniacki, also pursued a career in professional football in Denmark.
