Carolyn Sue Jones, born on April 28, 1930, passed away on August 3, 1983, and was a notable American actress known for her work in both film and television. She embarked on her cinematic journey in the early 1950s, gaining significant acclaim by the end of the decade. Her performance in The Bachelor Party (1957) garnered an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress, alongside a Golden Globe recognition as one of the most promising actresses of 1959. Over the next two decades, she continued to flourish in her film career. In 1964, she took on the iconic role of Morticia Addams, as well as portraying her sister Ophelia and the female version of Thing, Lady Fingers, in the classic black and white television series The Addams Family. She was married to Aaron Spelling.
