In 2020, Cassie Popcorn launched her YouTube channel with the aim of expanding her cinematic knowledge, as her husband pointed out that she had been largely unaware of the vast array of remarkable films she had missed, given her inclination towards romantic dramas and romantic comedies. Initially, she would munch on popcorn during her videos, which inspired the channel name Popcorn In Bed, but the sound interference proved too much, prompting her to give up that habit. Often, her sister Carly Popcorn joins her on this journey. In 2024, the duo launched a second channel together, titled Popcorn To Go, where they share discussions about movies, pop culture, personal experiences, and sisterly reflections.
