About Chantilly Lace
Born June 19, 1968, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Chantilly Lace was a figure in the adult film industry during the early to mid-1990s. Her journey into adult entertainment began at age 17, working as a stripper using a fabricated identification. She established a notable presence as a performer in Pittsburgh clubs for several years. In 1991, she appeared on the Howard Stern Show, using her birth name, Racquel.
Around 1992, at 24 years old, she transitioned into film, with early credits including Unlaced. Under various monikers such as Chantilly, Racquel Lace, and Chantelle Lace, she participated in an estimated 57 to 60 films. Her filmography includes titles like Superstars of Porn 2: Chantilly Lace’s Anal Lust, Oral Support, Dream Dates, and Lonely Is the Night. Known for her dark hair, 5'4" stature, and striking 34DD-24-34 measurements, she was recognized for her involvement in anal, lesbian, and oral scenes.
Lace collaborated with prominent studios such as VCA, Vivid, and Metro, frequently featuring in gonzo-style productions. Her energetic performances, especially those in Anal Lust, garnered attention. She became particularly associated with the "Strap-on Sally" series, starring in all 12 installments and earning the moniker "the strap-on queen" from fans who noted her comfort with strap-on performance, whether with male or female partners.
Her legacy in adult cinema has been described by various sources. A 2024 X post referred to her as a "forgotten gem in Dream Dates." Adult Rental's 2012 description highlighted her as "a reliable performer with a fiery edge." The Rialto Report further cemented her unique position by noting her prominence in strap-on scenes.
Chantilly Lace retired from the industry around 1997, withdrawing from public life. She continued dancing after returning to her home state of Pennsylvania. Tragically, she passed away on July 13, 2008, in Oakmont, Pennsylvania, from an overdose of Valium combined with alcohol. Ron Jeremy remembered her on the Adult DVD Talk Forum, calling her a "stunning woman and sexy as hell," noting her significant physical attributes and speculating that her chosen professional name might have hindered her career. He also alluded to her struggles with freebasing at the time, suggesting a precarious existence.
