Tiffany Anne Nagy, professionally known as Chasey Lain, entered the world on December 7, 1971, in Cocoa Beach, Florida, as the child of a middle-class household with scant public information about her formative years and schooling. Growing up in Florida, she pursued her passion for performance through competitive dance and cheerleading during her secondary education. Upon reaching her late teens, she transitioned to exotic dancing at various establishments throughout the state. While working the strip club circuit in Florida, she observed the lucrative compensation that adult film performers commanded during guest dancing appearances. This realization, combined with encouragement from peer Alexis DeVell to relocate westward and capitalize on those earnings, prompted her relocation. She initially appeared in non-explicit roles in County Line (1993) and Real Tickets 1 (1994), generating considerable interest from both audiences and industry professionals. Her striking appearance, characterized by brunette locks, vivid blue eyes, and an hourglass silhouette measuring 5'6" and weighing 124 pounds with 36D-23-34 proportions achieved through surgical enhancement, defined her presence across more than 300 productions. Her supermodel-caliber features secured an exclusive arrangement with Wicked Pictures, positioning her for prominence. The Original Wicked Woman (1993) marked her first explicit starring role. Though Vivid Entertainment failed to acquire her contract during the initial 1993 competition against Wicked, the company successfully negotiated her services when she became available in 1995, establishing her as the industry's top-earning performer and exclusive Vivid representative. Between 1995 and 1999, she completed approximately forty productions for Vivid, including celebrated titles such as White Wedding, House on Chasey Lain, Nymph, Chasey Loves Rocco, and her all-female lesbian collection Chasin Pink 1-4. At age twenty-eight in 1999, exhaustion prompted her departure from the industry, though she reentered at thirty-three in 2004 with I Dream of Chasey, subsequently accepting sporadic assignments predominantly in same-sex scenes. Her final appearance occurred at forty-three in 2014's Mommy And Me 9 alongside Audrey Aguilera.

Substance abuse emerged immediately following her entry into high-earning adult entertainment work. Cocaine represented her primary substance during the 1980s and 1990s era when such usage permeated industry sets. Upon her 2004 return, however, dependencies on crack cocaine, methamphetamine, and heroin had developed, resulting in severe physical deterioration including tooth loss.
