Claire Sinclair, originally named Clairissa Irene Riccio, was born on May 25, 1991, in Los Angeles, California, into a middle-class Italian-American family. Raised solely by her mother, Lisa Riccio, she has no publicly known siblings. Sinclair attended Woodrow Wilson High School in Los Angeles, where she cheered and developed a passion for vintage fashion and pin-up style. She did not pursue higher education due to her early start in the modeling industry, which soon became her main focus.

Her modeling journey began at the age of 14, after she created a MySpace profile that featured photos inspired by pin-up aesthetics. A Playboy scout discovered her profile, and with her mother’s encouragement, she submitted her photos. This led to her selection as Playboy’s Playmate of the Month in October 2010, with her pictorial photographed by Stephen Wayda.
