About Corinna Drews

Born on January 30, 1962, in Berlin, Germany, Corinna Drews carved a path through the entertainment world as an actress. She is recognized for her roles in productions such as Bloody Moon from 1981, Zärtlich, aber frech wie Oskar released in 1980, and Die Einsteiger, which came out in 1985. Before her acting career, Drews gained prominence as a photo model. In March 1981, a substantial feature in Playboy magazine, titled "My Sport is Men," brought her significant attention. Her image graced the cover of the German Playboy edition on three occasions. Throughout the 1980s, she also appeared on the covers of publications like Neue Revue and Quick multiple times. Despite her stature of 165 cm, Drews was discovered as a model in Paris, where she went on to work with the prestigious fashion house Christian Dior. She also ventured into erotic film roles and honed her acting skills through private lessons with Käte Jaenicke in Munich. In 1986, she portrayed a hopeful starlet eager for fame in the initial episode of the television series Kir Royal, seeking the attention of the gossip reporter Baby Schimmerlos, played by Franz Xaver Kroetz. Her comedic timing was evident in the film The Beginners, where she played the damsel in distress reminiscent of an Indiana Jones character, starring alongside Thomas Gottschalk and Mike Krüger. In the early 2000s, her personal life became a subject of public interest, which she addressed on the program Nachtcafé in 2006. Her marital history includes unions with pop singer Jürgen Drews from 1981 to 1985, a period during which she also bore their son in 1981 and adopted his surname. Following this, she was married to tennis professional Cuan Neethling from 1988 to 1990, welcoming a son in 1987. Later, she married real estate agent Lutz Behrendt from 1992 to 1998, with whom she had a daughter in 1991 and a son in 1992. She has since used the double-barreled surname Drews-Behrendt. From 2001 until his passing in July 2012, she was in a relationship with Bernd Schragen, a furniture manufacturer and interior designer from Kreuztal. Drews resided in Siegen for seven years and currently lives and practices her profession in Dahlewitz, situated south of Berlin.
