Born on December 13, 1993, Danielle Rose Collins is an accomplished American professional tennis player. Her journey in the sport has seen her achieve a career-best singles ranking of World No. 7, and she has also reached No. 79 in doubles. Collins has secured two WTA Tour singles championships, triumphing at the 2021 Palermo Open and the 2021 Silicon Valley Classic. Additionally, she claimed a WTA Tour doubles title in 2023 at the Charleston Open, partnering with Desirae Krawczyk. A significant milestone in her career was reaching her inaugural Grand Slam singles final at the 2022 Australian Open. Before turning professional, Collins showcased her talent on the collegiate circuit for the University of Virginia, where she captured the NCAA singles championship twice, in 2014 as a sophomore and again in 2016 as a senior, concluding her collegiate career as the nation's top-ranked player. Her emergence on the WTA Tour began when she unexpectedly reached the semifinals of the 2018 Miami Open as a qualifier.
