About Danielle Harris

Danielle Andrea Harris, born on June 1, 1977, is an American performer recognized for her significant presence in the horror genre, earning her the title of "scream queen." Her career is notably marked by her involvement in four installments of the Halloween saga. She portrayed Jamie Lloyd in two of the original films, Halloween 4 and 5, released in 1988 and 1989 respectively. Later, she took on the role of Annie Brackett in the 2007 remake of Halloween and its subsequent sequel, released in 2009. Beyond this iconic franchise, Harris has made memorable appearances in other terrifying cinematic ventures, including as Tosh in Urban Legend (1998), Belle in Stake Land (2010), and Marybeth Dunston across multiple films in the Hatchet series, which spanned from 2010 to 2017. Her contributions to horror were further acknowledged in 2012 with her induction into the Fangoria Hall of Fame.

Harris's acting journey commenced during her childhood, where she appeared on television and secured notable roles in films like Marked for Death (1990), Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead (1991), The Last Boy Scout (1991), Free Willy (1993), and Daylight (1996). In addition to her on-screen work, Harris has lent her voice to animated characters, most famously portraying Debbie Thornberry throughout the entire run of the Nickelodeon series The Wild Thornberrys from 1998 to 2004. This voice work extended to the related films The Wild Thornberrys Movie (2002) and Rugrats Go Wild (2003). In 2013, Harris expanded her creative endeavors by making her feature film directorial debut with the horror movie Among Friends. This followed earlier directorial work, including a segment titled Madison for the unfinished anthology film Prank in 2008, and a short film connected to Stake Land in 2010. As of December 2024, Harris maintains a significant online presence, with 189,000 followers on her Instagram account.
