About Deborah Twiss

At seventeen, Deborah Twiss journeyed to New York City with aspirations of acting. Her creative drive soon extended beyond performance as she immersed herself in the creation and production of independent cinema. Her inaugural feature film, A Gun For Jennifer (1997), achieved significant acclaim, gracing over twenty-seven film festivals and cultivating a dedicated following in Europe. Following this success, she produced and took a leading role in the independent production Molotov Samba. Not long after, with her young son in a stroller and her infant daughter nestled against her, Deborah penned, starred in, and directed In-Between, a supernatural thriller grappling with themes surrounding 9/11. She further showcased her multifaceted talents by writing, starring in, and directing A Cry From Within, a project featuring Eric Roberts, Cathy Moriarty, and James McCaffrey, with Confidence Game, starring Sean Young, James McCaffrey, and Robert Clohessy, slated to follow. In recent years, Deborah has ventured into the dynamic realm of episodic television. She has written, produced, and starred in a supernatural thriller pilot titled A Beautiful Distraction, which also features Sean Young, Adrian Paul, and Vivica Fox. Additionally, she was the creative force behind an entire season of Crazytown, a dark comedy exploring the world of strip clubs, which made its global debut on streaming platforms in 2023. Her portfolio also includes the 2001 Director's Cut of Sebastien (also known as A Cry From Within), Sapsiosexual (2023), and Taboo (2024).
