Demetria Devonne "Demi" Lovato is a renowned American singer, songwriter, and actress. She began her career on the children's show Barney & Friends, where she appeared from 2002 to 2004. Following that, she took on a role in the Disney Channel's short series As the Bell Rings from 2007 to 2008. Lovato gained significant recognition for her portrayal of Mitchie Torres in the musical TV movie Camp Rock in 2008 and its sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, released in 2010. The soundtrack of the first film featured her debut single, "This Is Me," a duet that climbed to number nine on the US Billboard Hot 100. After signing with Hollywood Records, Lovato launched her pop rock debut album, Don't Forget, in 2008, which premiered at number two on the US Billboard 200.
