Dianna Russini — Biography

Dianna Marie Russini is a prominent sports journalist and NFL insider widely recognized for her association with ESPN. She was born in The Bronx, New York City, and grew up in Norwood, New Jersey, where she excelled as a multi-sport athlete in high school, achieving All-State accolades in soccer, basketball, softball, and track. Russini then showcased her athletic skills at George Mason University, playing Division I soccer for four years. She started her professional journey in local news and sports anchoring at WRC-TV (NBC4) in Washington, D.C. In 2015, she made her way to ESPN, initially taking on the role of a SportsCenter anchor before evolving into a key figure in NFL coverage, providing breaking news, analysis, and making appearances on programs such as NFL Live and NFL Countdown. More recently, she has taken on the position of senior NFL reporter and insider for The Athletic (NY Times), where she continues to offer comprehensive coverage and hosts the Scoop City podcast.
