Dorian Dennis — Biography

Before gracing the burlesque stage, Dorian Dennis earned her Bachelor of Science from New York University. Her career in the public eye commenced in the early 1950s, where she found work as a model, appearing in men's publications and for the provocative fetish photographer Irving Claw. In 1953, Dennis ventured into stripping, ultimately rising to become one of the nation's top fifteen exotic dancers. She bid farewell to the stages of stripping and burlesque in 1969, a few years before her passing from cancer at the age of 46.
