Dorothea Wierer is a formidable Italian competitor on the biathlon circuit, actively participating in the Biathlon World Cup. Her Olympic journey includes a bronze medal in the mixed relay at the 2014 Sochi Winter Games, a team effort alongside Karin Oberhofer, Dominik Windisch, and Lukas Hofer. Four years later, at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics, Wierer stood on the podium again, securing another bronze in the mixed relay with teammates Lisa Vittozzi, Lukas Hofer, and Dominik Windisch. The 2022 Beijing Games marked a significant milestone, with Wierer earning her inaugural individual Olympic medal in the sprint event. On the world championship stage, she claimed the mass start title in 2019, followed by the pursuit and individual crowns in 2020.
