Dr Lisa Chimes — Biography
Dr. Lisa Chimes earned her Bachelor of Veterinary Science with distinguished honors from Sydney University in 2006. She then relocated to Melbourne, where she undertook an internship focused on veterinary emergency and critical care. Dr. Chimes joined the SASH team as an emergency and critical care veterinarian in 2008, shortly after the hospital's inception. By 2010, she had achieved membership in the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists, specializing in the Small Animal Medicine chapter. A key contributor to SASH, she played a vital role in establishing the hospital's canine blood bank, a resource crucial for providing life-saving blood transfusions to their patients. Her professional passion spans all facets of emergency and critical care medicine, with particular enthusiasm for treating trauma, envenomations, and toxicological emergencies.
