About Edith Mera
Born on February 7, 1905, in Meran, Tyrol, a region then part of Austria-Hungary and now known as Merano in Italy's Alto Adige, Edith Méra carved out a career as an actress. Her notable performances include roles in the films Three Musketeers released in 1932, Beauty Cult from 1930, and Mon amant l'assassin, also in 1932. Tragically, her life was cut short on February 24, 1935, in Paris, France. Her death resulted from an anthrax infection, the origin of which was traced to an abscess on her lip. Following her passing, her remains were cremated at the Père Lachaise Crematorium in Paris.
