About Gabriela Soukalova

Born in Jablonec nad Nisou, Czechoslovakia, on November 1, 1989, Gabriela Soukalová, who was previously known as Koukalová, is a former Czech biathlete and also worked as a television presenter for TV Prima. Her athletic career was marked by significant success, including securing three Olympic medals during the 2014 Sochi Games. Soukalová achieved World Championship glory twice, first in the mixed relay at Kontiolahti in 2015 and then in the 7.5 km sprint at Hochfilzen in 2017. Her dominance extended to the World Cup circuit, where she was crowned the overall champion in the 2015/2016 season. This outstanding performance was further underscored by her collection of six discipline Crystal Globes: the individual title in 2013/2014, and in the 2015/2016 season, she claimed titles in sprint, pursuit, and mass start. She continued her winning streak in the 2016/2017 season, securing the sprint and mass start Crystal Globes.
