Born on September 14, 1974, Gabrielle Richens is a British personality known for her work as a model and television presenter. Her heritage is a blend of British, Indian, and Chinese, though her parents hail from South Africa. Richens embarked on her modeling career at the young age of fifteen, signing with the Elite modeling agency. A particular airline advertisement led to her being known as "The Pleasure Machine," a moniker she has publicly expressed indifference towards. Her career has seen significant acclaim, especially within Australia. Richens garnered recognition in the UK edition of FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in the World, ranking 41st in 2002, 69th in 2003, and 71st in 2004.

Her ascent to widespread fame in Australia was notably propelled by her highly publicized relationship with rugby league player Solomon Haumono. The public's attention was captivated by how the couple met and Haumono's subsequent actions. After encountering Richens in a Sydney nightclub, Haumono, then under contract with the Canterbury Bulldogs Rugby League club, departed for the United Kingdom to be with her. This decision was made without informing his family or his club, placing his rugby league career in considerable jeopardy. The situation sparked considerable debate regarding the termination of his contract with the Bulldogs upon his return to Australia due to his actions. Richens and Haumono are no longer a couple.
