Gail McKenna was born on December 30, 1968, in Liverpool and gained prominence in the 1980s as a Page 3 girl. She transitioned into a successful career as an actress in theatre and television, served as a sports presenter for L!VE TV and Five, and hosted children's programs for CITV. McKenna's early career included work as a glamour model, where she was known for full frontal nudity in softporn magazines and notably graced Page 3. At just 18, she was named Penthouse Pet of the Month in December 1987 (Vol 22 No. 12). McKenna made her first appearance on Page 3 at the age of 17 on May 21, 1986, in The Sun, and her final appearance at 22 on July 18, 1991. The last year of her topless modeling work was marked by a significant change in her appearance, particularly the reduction in breast size. She also had an uncredited role as a waitress in the film Consuming Passions, released in 1988, after which she became a well-known television presenter. Following her debut in The Sun, McKenna quickly became one of the leading glamour models of her time, with her images frequently featured in tabloids and men's magazines. In 1988, she participated in a pictorial for Playboy alongside fellow Page 3 models Maria Whittaker and Suzanne Mizzi. In the early 1990s, McKenna retired from topless and nude modeling after embracing Christianity.
