Hailing from Diamond Bar and Walnut, California, Gia Paloma built a prolific career, gracing 711 covers, appearing in 125 photosets, and featuring in 586 videos before stepping away from the industry in 2019. Her initial active period spanned from 2003 to 2012, followed by a hiatus before she resumed work as both an actress and director in adult films until 2017, continuing as a director until 2019.

Growing up in Walnut, California, Paloma possesses Italian heritage. Her stage name draws inspiration from the 1998 film "Gia," where Angelina Jolie portrayed model Gia Carangi, and "Paloma," the Spanish word for dove and the name of Pablo Picasso's daughter. Before entering the adult entertainment industry, Paloma worked at Starbucks. She cited financial need and a desire for retribution against an ex-boyfriend as her motivations for entering the field.

Paloma gained recognition for her bold performances, particularly her willingness to engage in aggressive double penetrations and edgy sex scenes, making her known for her adventurous approach to filming. Notably, she is credited as the first adult film actress to be featured in a scene involving a donkey punch.

In January 2005, Paloma experienced a cocaine overdose that significantly elevated her heart rate. She recovered swiftly and the following day resumed signing autographs at an Anabolic booth, followed by an appearance at the AVN Awards, where she received a trophy for "Best All-Girl Sex Scene."

In 2005, Paloma held a contract as a director for New Boundaries while simultaneously having a performing contract with Extreme Associates. She concluded her engagement with Extreme Associates in May 2006. To date, Paloma has directed four titles; three were part of her "Nasty, Hard Sex" series, and one collaborative work with her then-husband, Coffee Ron, was titled "Domestic Disturbance."

After a four-year run in adult performances ending in February 2007, Gia Paloma transitioned to working full-time as a make-up artist. She made a brief appearance in Charlie Band's "Decadent Evil 2," featured in the opening credits, and took on a full role as Annie in John Lechago's "Bio Slime." Both were non-explicit roles in feature-length horror films. Paloma also collaborated with Doug Sakman on his upcoming horror-porn production, "Evil Head."

Gia Paloma married Extreme Associates director Coffee Ron in October 2005, but they later divorced. She subsequently married Naughty America director and former adult performer Tommy Pistol in December 2007.
