Ginevra Hollander — Biography

The disappearance of Ginevra Hollander was initially reported by her parents in January of 2014. Later that year, in June, authorities acting on a tip located her remains. Police divers discovered her body, dismembered and concealed within a suitcase, at the bottom of Lake Garda in Italy. Her former partner, Franco Mossoni, aged 55, had been in police custody since February. His detention followed an incident where he entered a hospital in Vicenza, adopting a Rambo-like appearance and carrying a firearm. Evidence discovered included blood found in his vehicle, with the passenger seat notably replaced by a deck chair. Investigators had been alerted by a tip that a man fitting Mossoni's description was observed disposing of a suitcase into Lake Garda. Mossoni had a prior history, having recently been released from prison after serving a 30-year sentence for a murder committed in 1978.
