Her journey in the entertainment industry began in 2000 when she clinched the second position in the Miss World competition, finishing behind Miss Italia. In 2002, she triumphed in the television program "Veline," where she became known as the brunette velina. Giorgia captivated audiences for two seasons, from 2002 to 2003 and 2003 to 2004, as a velina on "Striscia la notizia," which significantly boosted her fame.

On July 15, 2008, she welcomed her first daughter, Sofia, from her relationship with footballer Davide Bombardini.
