About Gwen Stefani

Gwen Renée Stefani, born on October 3, 1969, is a multifaceted American artist known for her work as a singer, songwriter, record producer, fashion designer, and actress. She is recognized as a co-founder and the principal vocalist and lyricist for the band No Doubt. Their notable songs include "Just a Girl," "Spiderwebs," and "Don't Speak," all featured on their impactful 1995 album Tragic Kingdom. Later, they released hits like "Hey Baby" and "It's My Life" on subsequent albums.

During a break from No Doubt's activities, Stefani launched a solo pop music career in 2004 with her first studio album, Love. Angel. Music. Baby. This project, influenced by the pop sounds of the 1980s, achieved both critical acclaim and significant commercial success. The album produced six singles, including "What You Waiting For?", "Rich Girl," "Hollaback Girl," and "Cool." Notably, "Hollaback Girl" reached the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and was the first digital download in the United States to surpass one million sales.

In 2006, Stefani followed up with her second solo studio album, The Sweet Escape. This album included singles such as "Wind It Up" and "The Sweet Escape," with the latter charting at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 year-end list for 2007. Her third solo effort, This Is What the Truth Feels Like, released in 2016, marked her first solo album to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. In 2017, she released her fourth solo album, You Make It Feel Like Christmas, which was also her first full-length holiday album and saw 19 of its tracks appear on Billboard's Holiday Digital Song Sales chart in the U.S. Stefani has also collaborated on several singles with Blake Shelton, including "Nobody but You" in 2020, which reached number 18 in the United States.

Stefani's accolades include three Grammy Awards. As a solo performer, she has garnered an American Music Award, a Brit Award, a World Music Award, and two Billboard Music Awards. Beyond music, she ventured into fashion, debuting her clothing line L.A.M.B. in 2003, and later expanded her fashion endeavors with the Harajuku Lovers line in 2005, drawing inspiration from Japanese culture and style.

Billboard magazine acknowledged Stefani as the 54th most successful artist and the 37th most successful Hot 100 artist of the 2000s decade. In 2012, VH1 placed her at number 13 on their list
