Haley Lu Richardson — Biography

Haley Lu Richardson is an American performer and a writer of verse. Her early screen work included appearances on the Disney Channel's comedic series Shake It Up in 2013 and the ABC Family supernatural series Ravenswood from 2013 to 2014. She later took on roles in the youthful drama The Edge of Seventeen, released in 2016, and the suspenseful horror film Split, also from 2016. Richardson's pivotal performance came in the independent drama Columbus in 2017, a role that earned her a nomination for a Gotham Independent Film Award in the Best Actress category. She continued her work in celebrated independent productions, featuring in Support the Girls in 2018, Unpregnant in 2020, and After Yang in 2022. Her television presence expanded with a leading role in the second season of HBO's anthology series The White Lotus in 2022, and she also starred in the romantic comedy Love at First Sight in 2023. In November of 2025, her inaugural poetry collection, titled I'm Sad and Horny, was released by Simon & Schuster.
