About Hannah Fry
Hannah Fry is a mathematician, author, and broadcaster residing in South London. She holds the position of Professor of the Public Understanding of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge. With a mission to challenge the notion that mathematics is dull, Hannah presents it in accessible and engaging ways that resonate with ordinary people, often accompanied by her playful smile. She is also a fellow at Queens' College, Cambridge, and serves as the president of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications. Before her current role, she was a professor at University College London. At the age of 36, Hannah was diagnosed with cervical cancer, which led to her undergoing a radical hysterectomy. This surgical procedure involves the removal of the uterus, cervix, and nearby tissues, and may also include the excision of the ovaries and fallopian tubes, along with pelvic lymph nodes.
