About Heather Graham
Heather Joan Graham was born on January 29, 1970, in Milwaukee to an Irish-American family. She is an accomplished actress and fashion model. As the oldest of two siblings, her younger sister Aimee also pursued careers in acting and writing. Their mother Joan worked as an educator and published children's literature, while their father James served as a retired agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The sisters grew up adhering to traditional Catholic principles instilled by their parents. Graham completed her secondary education at Agoura High School in California, graduating in 1989. She made an early television appearance in 1986 on a special youth edition of the Scrabble game show on NBC. Following graduation, she pursued extension coursework through UCLA, where she met actor James Woods. The two developed a romantic relationship while she was being considered for a role in the film Diggstown, which featured Woods in the lead. After two years, she left her studies to dedicate herself fully to an acting career, a decision her family initially opposed. She subsequently relocated to Los Angeles and worked various jobs while building her entertainment career. Graham secured numerous supporting roles early on, including a part in the 1989 film Drugstore Cowboy. In 1991, she joined the television series Twin Peaks, portraying Annie Blackburn, a character involved romantically with the protagonist in the show's second season. Her notable breakthrough came in 1997 when she played the title role in Boogie Nights, an acclaimed film that earned her several nominations. She achieved stardom in 1999 when she starred as Felicity Shagwell in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me.
