Heather Langenkamp — Biography

Heather Langenkamp, born on July 17, 1964, has carved out a notable career in the entertainment industry as an actress, writer, and producer. She is most recognized for her pivotal role as Nancy Thompson in the iconic horror film A Nightmare on Elm Street, a performance she reprised in the follow-up, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. Her presence is also felt in cult favorites, including two films directed by Wes Craven: Shocker and Wes Craven's New Nightmare. Beyond her acting, Langenkamp contributed her voice as the narrator and served as an executive producer for the 2010 documentary Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy. Her filmography also features appearances in Nickel Mountain, The Demolitionist, Fugitive Mind, The Butterfly Room, Star Trek Into Darkness, and Truth or Dare. In 1994, she took on the role of figure skater Nancy Kerrigan in the NBC television movie Tonya and Nancy: The Inside Story. Television audiences also know Langenkamp for her turns as Marie Lubbock on the ABC sitcom Growing Pains and as Amy Boutilier on its spin-off series, Just the Ten of Us, both of which garnered Primetime Emmy Awards.
