About Helene Fischer
Helene Fischer, born August 5, 1984, has established herself as a prominent German singer, entertainer, television personality, and actress. Her career, commencing in 2005, has been marked by numerous accolades, including seventeen Echo awards, four "Die Krone der Volksmusik" awards, and three Bambi awards. Her record sales, based on certifications, exceed fifteen million units. In June 2014, her 2013 album "Farbenspiel" achieved a significant milestone, becoming the most downloaded album ever by a German artist.
Fischer's origins trace back to Krasnoyarsk, Russia, then part of the Soviet Union, where her parents, Peter and Marina Fischer, resided. Her father was a physical education instructor, and her mother worked as an engineer. Her paternal grandparents, of Black Sea German descent, were among those forcibly resettled in Kazakhstan and Siberia. In 1988, at three and a half years old, she relocated with her parents and older sister to Wöllstein in West Germany. Following her secondary education, she pursued a three-year course in singing and acting at the Frankfurt Stage & Musical School. During her studies, Fischer performed at the Staatstheater Darmstadt and the Volkstheater Frankfurt.
From May 2008, Fischer was in a relationship with fellow popular German entertainer Florian Silbereisen, though they separated in December 2018. In October 2011, Fischer's likeness was immortalized with a wax figure at Madame Tussauds in Berlin, a figure that was updated in 2018. Her mother's initiative to promote her early career involved secretly sending a demo CD of six songs to recording studios.
Fischer made her public debut on May 14, 2005, during a broadcast on the ARD television channel, performing a duet with Florian Silbereisen, with whom she later formed a romantic partnership. She has garnered seventeen "Echo" awards, seven "Goldene Henne" awards, and four "Krone der Volksmusik" prizes. All her albums and DVDs have attained multiple gold and double platinum certifications. Her music, often resonating with themes of everyday concerns and the sentiments of those who cherish home, shares a lyrical kinship with what might be termed "country music," though musically distinct. Her audience spans not only Germany, Austria, and Switzerland but also extends to Belgium, Canada, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, the United Kingdom, Finland, the United States, and New Zealand.
In June 2010, she released her first English-language album, "The English Ones," produced by the veteran German producer, composer, and arranger Jean Frankfurter. Fischer expressed her lifelong aspiration to sing in other languages, viewing English as the language of "Schlager," a genre akin to country music, and emphasizing that authentic delivery
