About Hiromi Iwasaki
Born on November 12, 1958, Hiromi Iwasaki is a celebrated Japanese vocalist who launched her career in 1975. She shares her musical talent with her younger sister, Yoshimi Iwasaki, who is also a singer. A notable achievement in her career came in 1981 when she secured the Silver Prize at the Tokyo Music Festival for her rendition of "Koimachigusa." Among her most recognized performances are the songs "Romance" from 1975, "Shishūki" from 1977, and "Madonna Tachi No Lullaby" from 1982. Yet, it is her 1978 hit, "Cinderella Honeymoon," that holds a particularly unique place. Due to its frequent and memorable impersonations by the comedian Korokke, Iwasaki has found that audiences often react with laughter when the song's introduction plays at her concerts. She has humorously declared that she has symbolically "given" this song to Korokke, acknowledging that his performance has contributed to the longevity of both their careers.
