Ituño's formative years were spent in Basauri, the town of her birth. Her education encompassed theatrical arts at the Basauri Theater School, alongside a degree in urban-industrial and political sociology earned from the University of the Basque Country. The year 2001 marked her entry into television soap operas with Goenkale, where she embodied Nekane Beitia, a bisexual police officer residing in the fictional Basque village of Arralde. She continued in this capacity until the series concluded in 2015, a role that significantly raised her profile within the Basque region. Her acting career progressed with notable appearances in films such as Loreak, which was Spain's submission for the Academy Awards, and Igelak, released in 2015 and 2016, respectively. In 2017, she secured the pivotal role of Raquel Murillo, a police inspector, in the television series La Casa de Papel, initially airing on Antena 3 before its acquisition by Netflix. Beyond her work on screen and stage, Ituño is also a vocalist for three musical groups: Dangiliske, EZ3, and INGOT. On September 26, 2017, she took on presenting duties for the Basque Film Gala and the EITB Gala during the 65th San Sebastian International Film Festival. In May 2020, it was revealed that Ituño would be making her English-language debut in the British animated short film Salvation Has No Name, slated for release in the same year.
